Dangerous and Delightful (Hopefully)

January 5, 2008

My husband comes from a large family, and growing larger by the minute, it seems. Anyway, we usually celebrate Christmas in January just so we can all coordinate our schedules and be with our other respective families. We are finally finishing up all our gifting this week and preparing to celebrate one last time.

I just wanted to point you to a fun and really simple tutorial for a drawstring bag that will be accompanying The Dangerous Book for Boys and a few items to start some young n’s on their way to some dangerous and delightful adventures. If it’s a hit, I’ll file this idea away for future reference, cause it sure was fun to create!

I used leather chord for the drawstring, and put in the bag some rope for learning knots, coins for coin tricks and table football, paper for paper airplanes, hats, boats and water bombs, and some marbles and chalk for learning the game of marbles.

I just looked at that book on Amazon yesterday…they have one for girls too. Is it good?

I wasn’t as crazy about it because of the time spent on palm reading, astrological signs, levitation and the overall “anything you can do I can do better” feel to it. That’s just my opinion.
